The Full Story
Belinda is a speech and language pathologist who has worked across three different continents in her long standing career that now spans more then 25 years. She is a current practicing certified member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and an overseas member of Speech Audiology Canada (SAC). Belinda’s clinic is based at her home office in St Ives and offers a personal, warm, bright and inviting space to learn and grow. Her practice provides paediatric support for clients from birth -12 years old who have a range of communication and learning needs.
The philosophy that guides my practice is to celebrate the uniqueness of every child. This is achieved by focusing on strengths, knowing that communication is always possible and can take many forms, believing that play is the primary occupation of any child, being flexible in my approach and by working with families and carers to build a team that surrounds their child with awareness, education, understanding and support.
In order to support my clients I have attended a range of relevant workshops and courses including Hanen, PODD, SCERTS, whole language learners (GLP’S), AAC and more!
